Urgent Requirement of Dialysis Technician
The Dialysis Technician will perform safe and effective hemodialysis treatments, monitor patient condition, and maintain dialysis equipment as per hospital protocols and nephrologist’s guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for dialysis (vital signs, weight check, assessment).
- Monitor patients during the entire dialysis session.
- Assist patients experiencing discomfort or emergency symptoms.
- Maintain infection control and aseptic techniques at all times.
- Set up, operate, and monitor dialysis machines.
- Perform vascular access cannulation (AV fistula, graft, catheter).
- Handle machine alarms and troubleshoot minor technical issues.
- Ensure correct dialyzer, tubing, and solution preparation.
- Record all treatment details, vitals, and observations.
- Maintain logs, reports, and patient records as per hospital policy.
- Report any patient concerns or machine issues to the Nephrologist/Nursing Supervisor.
- Clean, disinfect, and sterilize machines and equipment.
- Follow biomedical waste management guidelines.
- Ensure equipment maintenance and timely calibration.
- Diploma in Dialysis
- 5-8 years of experience in hospital dialysis setup.
- Strong understanding of hemodialysis procedures and safety protocols.
- Good communication and patient-handling skills.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts.
