Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves developing tailored software solutions by designing, coding, and improving various components within systems or applications. Collaboration with different teams and continuous enhancement of software components are integral parts of the daily workflow, ensuring that solutions remain robust and adaptable to evolving needs.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead efforts to identify and implement best practices within the team to improve software quality and delivery.
- Mentor junior team members to support their professional growth and enhance team capabilities.
- Coordinate cross-functional activities to ensure alignment of project goals and timely delivery.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Microservices and Light Weight Architecture, Java (8+), Spring Boot, ORM (Spring JPA/Hibernate).
- Additionally should have knowledge in Automation tools (RPA, AutoSys, StreamSets), Shell scripting, Camunda BPM, API Gateways (TYK/APIGEE).
- Database skills should be Oracle/PostgreSQL, Snowflake, Teradata, Hadoop, H2.
- Strong knowledge of designing and implementing distributed systems using microservices.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies to support scalable deployments.
- Familiarity with RESTful API design and integration within complex software ecosystems.
- Ability to apply agile development principles and continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines.
- Tools & Infra skills: Microservice architecture, Restful APIs, Data streaming (Apache Kafka), Cloud infrastructure (PCF/AWS/Azure/GCP), CI/CD (Teamcity/Gitlab), Authentication protocols (LDAP/OAUTH/OAUTH2/KERBEROS/IAM/SSO).
- Competence in troubleshooting and optimizing performance of microservices-based applications.
- Development Tools: Intellij/Eclipse, Datagrip, Oracle SQL Developer, Git, AWS SDK, PyCharm.
- Productivity Tools: JIRA, Confluence, Gitlab, Office365
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Microservices and Light Weight Architecture.
- This position is based at our Gurugram office.
