We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst to translate complex data sets into actionable business insights. In this role, you will own end-to-end data pipelines, design interactive executive dashboards, and partner directly with cross-functional leadership (Product, Marketing, Operations) to drive data-informed decision-making. You will be responsible for defining key metrics, writing production-grade SQL, performing exploratory data analysis, and identifying strategic growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Intelligence & Reporting: Design, build, and maintain scalable dashboards and reports using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker to track core business KPIs.
- Complex SQL Querying: Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries across large data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) to aggregate and analyze structured and unstructured data.
- Exploratory Data Analysis: Conduct deep-dive analysis to identify trends, user behaviors, operational bottlenecks, and financial revenue drivers.
- Cross-Functional Strategy: Partner with department leads to define success metrics, formulate data hypotheses, and present recommendations to non-technical stakeholders.
- Data Quality & Governance: Collaborate with Data Engineering to validate incoming raw data, ensure pipeline integrity, and maintain clean data modeling standards.
- Experimentation & A/B Testing: Design experimentation frameworks, evaluate test variants, and calculate statistical significance to guide product and marketing launches.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 4+ years of professional experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or quantitative product analytics.
- Advanced SQL: Proven expertise in advanced SQL (window functions, complex joins, subqueries, CTEs, query optimization).
- BI Tool Mastery: Hands-on experience developing enterprise-grade dashboards in Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or Metabase.
- Data Modeling & Warehousing: Experience working with modern cloud data warehouses like Snowflake, Google BigQuery, or Amazon Redshift.
- Statistical Analysis & Scripting: Proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy) or R for statistical analysis, data manipulation, and automation.
- Communication: Ability to distill complex statistical findings into clear visual presentations for executive leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with dbt (data build tool) for data transformation in production environments.
- Knowledge of statistical modeling techniques (regression analysis, cohort analysis, predictive forecasting).
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
