A Laser Cutting Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining laser cutting machines to cut metal or other materials according to drawings and production requirements.
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC laser cutting machines safely and efficiently
- Load and unload metal sheets/materials
- Read and understand engineering drawings and dimensions
- Set machine parameters for cutting different materials and thicknesses
- Check cutting quality and accuracy of finished parts
- Perform basic machine maintenance and cleaning
- Monitor gas pressure, nozzle condition, and machine performance
- Report machine issues or production problems to supervisors
- Maintain production records and follow safety procedures
