Key Responsibilities
- Collect blood, urine, sputum, and other patient samples as per prescribed procedures.
- Perform routine laboratory tests accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare, label, store, and process specimens.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Conduct tests in areas such as Hematology, Biochemistry, Clinical Pathology, Microbiology, and Serology, depending on hospital requirements.
- Record and maintain accurate test results and laboratory documentation.
- Report abnormal or critical results to the concerned senior/pathologist/doctor as per hospital protocol.
- Ensure proper quality control and calibration of laboratory equipment.
- Follow infection-control, biomedical waste management, and laboratory safety procedures.
- Maintain adequate stock of reagents, chemicals, consumables, and other laboratory supplies.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of samples and reagents.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other hospital departments for timely processing of investigations.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with hospital policies and quality standards.
Qualification
- DMLT / BMLT / M.Sc. Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent qualification.
Experience
- 0–2 years: Junior/Fresher Lab Technician
- 2–5 years: Experienced Lab Technician
- Experience in a hospital, diagnostic centre, or clinical laboratory preferred.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
