3. Key Objectives of the Job
- Translate Arpan’s vision and mission into scalable, sustainable, and impact-driven programmes and activities.
- Provide strategic and operational leadership across programmes and ensure high quality execution of multi state programmes.
- Foster cross-team collaboration, efficiency, and accountability.
- Support the CEO in donor engagement, by contributing to programme strategy, outcomes, and impact data.

Strategic Leadership & Programme Oversight
- Hold end-to-end accountabilities for all current and emerging programmes and enabling functions, including Prevention, Healing, Government Partnerships, Content & Curriculum, Research, Monitoring & Evaluation.
- Co-create and lead multi-year strategies for Arpan’s programme impact.
- Apply design thinking to reimagine programme models, improve quality and efficiency, and solve systemic challenges creatively.
- Lead innovation and model-building efforts that position Arpan as a pioneer in the child protection ecosystem.
- Ensure programme design and implementation are grounded in organisational goals, field insights, and robust evidence.
- Dedicate focused time for strategic reflection, learning, and thought partnership with internal teams and external experts.
2. Partnerships & External Representation
- Support the CEO in funder conversations by providing programme insights, impact narratives, and strategic context.
- Represent Arpan at external forums, with donors and partners, particularly in programme-related conversations.
- Build strategic partnerships to strengthen programme delivery, scale, and innovation.
3. Operational Excellence & Execution
- Guide Directors in developing and implementing annual work plans, budgets, and performance metrics.
- Establish systems for monitoring, evaluation, and timely course correction.
- Promote a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
4. People Leadership & Capacity Building
- Mentor and build leadership capacity among Directors and their teams.
- Foster a values-based, high-performing, and collaborative culture.
- Drive cross-team synergies and ensure clarity of roles, responsibilities, and communication.
5. Risk Management & Compliance
- Anticipate and manage risks related to programme delivery, safeguarding, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all legal, ethical, and internal organisational policies.

7. Educational Qualification
Post-Graduation in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Child Development or related fields.
8. Desired Experience
- 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in the development sector or allied fields
- Minimum 5 years in a senior strategic leadership role.
- Demonstrated experience in programme strategy, operations, and team development.
9. Other desired attributes
- Deep understanding of child protection and trauma-informed practices.
