About Riwa Robotics
Riwa Robotics builds camera-based inspection and video analytics systems for factories across Maharashtra. Our systems run on real production lines — detecting defects, reading labels, tracking parts — in pharma, automotive, packaging, and food industries.
We are a small, fast-moving team at an early stage. The people joining us now will shape the company. You will not be doing repetitive tasks or sitting in a support queue — you will be working on live enquiries, talking to factory engineers, and closing deals that turn into systems running on actual production lines.
If you want a job that teaches you more in one year than most companies teach in five, this is the place.
The Role
This is a sales role at heart — but not the kind you're thinking of.
You will not cold-call. You will not chase footfall. You will not read scripts. In machine vision, deals are not won by the loudest salesperson — they are won by the person who understood the problem best. That person is you.
You will take an enquiry — from a pharma plant, an auto component maker, a packaging line — and turn it into an order. To do that, you have to understand what the customer actually needs (which is often not what they asked for), work with our technical team to design the right solution, present it convincingly, and close the deal. Once won, you hand it over to the execution team and move on to the next one.
You are also the person who fills the pipeline — through digital marketing, targeted outreach, and finding new use cases in industries we haven't touched yet.
50% Technical · 50% Commercial
Half your time is technical: understanding the customer's line, working with our engineers to design the solution, and translating that into a proposal that stands up to scrutiny. The other half is commercial: prospecting, follow-ups, negotiations, digital marketing, closing. Neither half works without the other — and that's what makes this role rare.
What You Will Do — Key Responsibilities
1. Convert Inbound Enquiries into Orders
Own every incoming lead from first response to signed PO. Qualify it, understand the real problem, drive it through the solutioning cycle, and close it.
2. Prospect New Clients and New Use Cases
Identify industries, plants, and applications where machine vision can solve a problem the customer hasn't fully articulated yet. Open doors that weren't already open.
3. Work with the Technical Team to Design the Solution
Sit with our engineers. Understand what's possible, what's hard, what's risky. Shape the solution before it becomes a proposal — because a badly scoped deal is worse than a lost one.
4. Coordinate with Customers and Vendors
Be the link between the customer, our technical team, and camera/lighting/component suppliers during the pre-sales cycle. Keep things moving without waiting to be pushed.
5. Run Digital Marketing
Build and run Riwa's digital presence — LinkedIn, email campaigns, industry outreach, content that positions us as the people who understand the problem. Think like a founder, not a marketing intern.
6. Build Proposals and Presentations that Win
Write techno-commercial proposals. Build decks. Deliver them. When we lose, understand why. When we win, understand why. Feed both back into how we sell.
7. Own the Sales Pipeline
Track every enquiry, every quote, every follow-up. Know the status of every deal at any moment. Nothing goes cold because you forgot about it.
8. Hand Off Cleanly to Execution
Once the order is won, transition the project to the execution team with a clear brief — what was promised, what was scoped, what the customer expects. Then move on to the next win.
Who We Are Looking For
The right person for this role is someone who is genuinely curious about how factories work — and gets a kick out of closing a deal because they understood the problem better than anyone else in the room. You should be comfortable talking to a plant manager in the morning and running a LinkedIn campaign in the afternoon.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
Application Question(s):
- This role involves talking to factory engineers, plant managers, and purchase teams — and eventually closing deals. How do you feel about a role that combines technical work with sales?
- Have you used AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.) for research, writing, or problem-solving in the last 3 months?
- In 2–3 sentences: why do you want to work at a startup company like Riwa Robotics instead of a large established one?
Work Location: In person
