Role Summary
The Senior Project Controls Specialist – Cost Management will be responsible for project cost tracking, forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and financial reporting for pharmaceutical capital projects. The candidate will work closely with project managers, engineering teams, procurement teams, and clients to ensure accurate cost control and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports.
- Track commitments, invoices, accruals, and actual expenditures.
- Perform variance analysis and identify project cost risks.
- Support change management and estimate evaluations.
- Develop cost loading and cash flow projections.
- Generate weekly and monthly cost performance reports.
- Coordinate with procurement and finance teams for accurate cost tracking.
- Support earned value management and project performance analysis.
- Participate in project review meetings with clients and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with project reporting procedures and standards.
Required Technical Skills
- Strong expertise in project cost control and forecasting.
- Experience with earned value management (EVM).
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical or industrial capital projects.
- Advanced Excel skills including pivots, lookups, dashboards, and reporting.
- Experience with SAP, Oracle, EcoSys, Power BI, or similar tools.
- Understanding of procurement and invoice management processes.
- Ability to analyze project financial data and trends.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Finance, Construction Management, or related field.
- PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
