We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced L4 Network and Security Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex network infrastructures and robust security systems. This role requires a proactive individual capable of handling critical incidents, driving architectural improvements, and mentoring junior engineers. The L4 Network and Security Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our global network and systems.
- Design, implement, and manage complex network architectures, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, and data center networks.
- Configure and maintain advanced network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS).
- Develop, implement, and enforce network security policies, procedures, and standards to protect organizational assets.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for critical network and security incidents, ensuring minimal downtime and rapid resolution.
- Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Lead incident response efforts for security breaches, including forensic analysis, containment, eradication, and recovery.
- Evaluate and recommend new network and security technologies, solutions, and best practices to enhance system performance and security posture.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate network and security solutions with existing IT infrastructure and applications.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for network configurations, security policies, and operational procedures.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to L1, L2, and L3 engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical network and security issues.
- Stay abreast of emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies to proactively defend against cyber attacks.
- Manage and optimize cloud network and security services (e.g., AWS VPC, Azure VNet, security groups, WAFs).
