We are looking for an experienced and technically strong Frontend Team Lead with 9+ years of experience in frontend development and proven expertise in React.js. The ideal candidate should have good hands-on experience with Next.js and TypeScript, along with strong experience in leading and managing frontend engineering teams.
The candidate will be responsible for driving frontend architecture, technical decisions, engineering best practices, and end-to-end delivery while mentoring and guiding the frontend team. Experience working in the BFSI, Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, FinTech, or Capital Markets domain is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage the frontend development team, providing technical direction and guidance.
- Design and develop scalable, secure, maintainable, and high-performance web applications using React.js.
- Work hands-on with Next.js and TypeScript to build modern, scalable, and production-grade applications.
- Define frontend architecture, coding standards, design patterns, and development best practices.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure high standards of code quality, performance, security, and maintainability.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, UI/UX Designers, Backend Engineers, QA, DevOps, and other stakeholders.
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and frontend architecture.
- Drive sprint planning, estimation, task allocation, prioritization, and delivery for the frontend team.
- Identify and resolve complex technical challenges related to application performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Ensure responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, accessibility, and an optimized user experience.
- Establish best practices for state management, API integration, testing, performance optimization, and frontend security.
- Mentor team members and promote knowledge sharing, technical excellence, and continuous learning.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
- Understand and incorporate BFSI/FinTech business processes, security standards, compliance requirements, and data privacy considerations into frontend solutions.
Required Skills & Experience
- 9+ years of strong experience in frontend development, with significant hands-on expertise in React.js.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Good hands-on experience with Next.js and modern frontend development practices.
- Strong understanding of React Hooks, component architecture, state management, reusable components, and design patterns.
- Experience in developing scalable and high-performance enterprise applications.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON, asynchronous programming, and frontend-backend integration.
- Experience with frontend performance optimization, responsive design, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Strong experience in technical leadership, team handling, mentoring, and task delegation.
- Proven ability to lead frontend teams and drive projects from requirements through successful delivery.
- Experience with Git, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and modern software development practices.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Prior experience in BFSI, Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, FinTech, Trading, or Capital Markets is highly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building large-scale, customer-facing BFSI/FinTech or enterprise applications.
- Strong understanding of frontend security best practices and OWASP principles.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based application environments.
- Exposure to microservices-based architectures and distributed systems.
