A restaurant server provides exceptional dining experiences by greeting guests, managing orders, serving food and beverages, and processing payments efficiently. They are responsible for maintaining table cleanliness, offering menu recommendations, and coordinating with kitchen staff to ensure accuracy and timely service. Key skills include, but are not limited to, communication, multitasking, and a positive, customer-focused attitude. Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Greeting guests, presenting menus, answering questions, and making recommendations.
- Order Management: Accurately taking food and beverage orders and entering them into the POS system.
- Service Delivery: Serving food and beverages, checking in with guests to ensure satisfaction, and handling special requests or dietary needs.
- Table Maintenance: Setting tables, cleaning, sanitizing, and clearing plates throughout the meal.
- Payment Processing: Calculating bills and processing cash or credit card transactions.
- Teamwork & Safety: Collaborating with kitchen/bar staff, adhering to safety/sanitation regulations, and performing side work.
Requirements & Skills
- Experience: Previous experience in food service or hospitality is often required.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand/walk for long periods and carry heavy trays.
- Skills: Strong communication, multitasking, POS system proficiency, and a friendly demeanor
