Conducts surveillance for nosocomial infections and identify patients with such possible infections.
❑ Develops and participates in education programmes for the prevention and control of infection of all
health care personnel and patients.
❑ Monitors patient care activities to identify methods, techniques, equipment, supplies or products which
may constitute risk of infection.
❑ Reviews data resources such as laboratory results, patient care plans, temperature charts, records of
patients receiving antibiotics and reports of X-Ray results.
❑ Analyzes surveillance data to detect epidemics or other diseases.
❑ Calculates infection rates at regularly approved intervals.
❑ Collaborates with all departments to incorporate Infection Control Principles, policies and procedures
for the safety of patients and personnel.
❑ Participates in special studies designed to identify unusual epidemic situations or to evaluate the impact
of new procedures in equipment or the delivery of patient care.
❑ Reviews, updates and disseminates current Infection Control information to appropriate personnel.
❑ Participates in epidemiological studies as required.

Pay: ₹120,000.00 - ₹150,000.00 per month
