COO (Chief Operating Officer) – Manufacturing Job Description
A Manufacturing COO is responsible for leading end-to-end plant operations, supply chain, production efficiency, quality, safety, and business growth. The role bridges strategic leadership with daily manufacturing execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead overall manufacturing operations across plants/factories
- Drive production planning, capacity utilization, and operational efficiency
- Oversee supply chain, procurement, inventory, logistics, and vendor management
- Implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure product quality, compliance, EHS (Environment, Health & Safety), and regulatory standards
- Manage plant budgets, operational costs, and profitability (P&L responsibility)
- Collaborate with CEO and leadership team on business strategy and expansion
- Lead automation, digital transformation, ERP/MES implementation, and process optimization
- Develop operational KPIs and performance dashboards
- Build and mentor plant leadership and cross-functional teams
Pay: ₹150,000.00 - ₹200,000.00 per month
