Job Description
The Bihar Report is looking for a Channel Head Coordinator to lead daily newsroom operations, manage reporters across districts, and ensure fast, accurate, and impactful news delivery on digital platforms.
This role is ideal for someone who understands Bihar’s ground reality, breaking news culture, and digital storytelling (Reels/YouTube).
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage daily news coverage & content calendar
- Coordinate with district reporters, camerapersons & editors
- Assign and track breaking news stories in real-time
- Ensure timely video delivery and publishing
- Maintain content quality, accuracy, and newsroom discipline
- Write or supervise headlines, captions & reel hooks
- Monitor social media performance (views, engagement, reach)
- Handle WhatsApp groups, assignment desk & field communication
Requirements
- Strong news sense & understanding of Bihar politics/society
- Experience in digital media / newsroom / YouTube / social media
- Ability to manage multiple teams under pressure
- Fluent in Hindi (mandatory); basic English preferred
- Knowledge of reels, video formats & viral content strategy
- Good coordination, leadership & decision-making skills
Experience
- 1–3 years in media / digital news / coordination role
- Freshers with strong field understanding & skills can apply
Salary
- ₹15,000 – ₹35,000/month (based on experience)
