A Quality Control (QC) Mechanical Engineer in construction inspects and verifies that all mechanical installations, equipment, and piping systems meet project specifications, safety codes, and quality standards. [1, 2, 3]Key Responsibilities
- Site Inspections: Monitor mechanical construction activities, equipment erection, alignment, and leveling on site.
- Material Verification: Check incoming mechanical materials, pipes, valves, pumps, and material test certificates for compliance.
- Testing and Commissioning: Witness and approve pressure tests, hydrostatic tests, non-destructive testing (NDT), and trial runs.
- Non-Conformance Reporting (NCR): Identify defects or deviations from approved drawings and issue non-conformance reports with corrective actions.
- Documentation: Maintain inspection checklists, test reports, as-built records, and quality compliance logs. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6]
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of relevant quality control or site inspection experience in construction, oil & gas, or MEP/HVAC projects.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read complex piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), fabrication drawings, and blueprints.
- Standards Knowledge: Familiarity with international codes and standards such as ASME, API, ASTM, and ISO
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
