Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Estimation & BOQ Preparation
- Study architectural/interior design drawings, specifications, and project briefs.
- Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ) based on scope of work.
- Estimate material, labor, equipment, and subcontracting costs.
- Factor in overheads, contingencies, and margins to develop total project cost.
Vendor & Material Analysis
- Obtain and compare vendor quotations for materials and services.
- Evaluate material specifications and suggest cost-effective alternatives.
- Maintain an updated database of material and labor rates.
Pre-Tender & Tender Submissions
- Support tendering process by preparing preliminary and detailed estimates.
- Assist in preparing technical and commercial proposals.
- Coordinate with design and procurement teams for inputs.
Coordination
- Work with designers, architects, project managers, and procurement to align budgets with design intent.
- Attend pre-tender and post-tender meetings with clients, vendors, and consultants.
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare and submit cost summaries, comparison sheets, and value engineering reports.
- Maintain proper documentation of all cost-related correspondence and revisions.
- Track project costs during execution for variation and change order analysis
Qualifications :
Diploma or Bachelor's in Interior Design, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
Experience:
1–3 years of experience in cost estimation / quantity surveying in interior or construction projects.
