Job Purpose:
The BIM Engineer will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and managing BIM models for MEP services in commercial interior fit-out projects. The role focuses on identifying and resolving MEP clashes, ensuring seamless coordination between all services, and supporting execution teams with accurate and buildable drawings.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop detailed BIM models for MEP services (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Firefighting) using Revit.
· Perform clash detection and coordination using Navisworks.
· Identify and resolve MEP vs Architectural/Structural clashes before site execution.
· Conduct coordination meetings with design consultants, contractors, and project teams.
· Prepare and update shop drawings, coordinated layouts, and as-built models.
· Ensure all BIM models comply with project standards, timelines, and client requirements.
· Provide technical support to site teams for MEP installation and coordination issues.
· Maintain documentation of clash reports, revisions, and approvals.
· Optimize routing of services for space efficiency and ease of installation.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field.
Certification or training in BIM/Revit is an advantage.
Experience:
3–6 years of experience in BIM modeling for MEP services.
Experience in commercial interior fit-out projects is mandatory.
Key Skills:
· Strong expertise in MEP coordination and clash detection
· Proficiency in Revit and Navisworks
· Good understanding of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing & Firefighting systems
· Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
· Strong coordination and communication skills
