Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Operational Management: Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and, in some cases, warehouse efficiency are met.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and motivate staff, manage attendance, assign tasks, and resolve personnel conflicts.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce company policies, safety protocols, and housekeeping standards to ensure a safe, clean work environment.
- Monitoring & Reporting: Monitor machinery and processes, troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime, and submit daily reports to management.
- Coordination: Coordinate with other departments (e.g., maintenance, QC, logistics) to ensure seamless workflow.
- Emergency Response: Make quick, effective decisions during emergencies or operational upsets to protect personnel and property.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in a supervisory or senior operational role, often 1-5+ years in production, manufacturing, or , service environments.
- Leadership & Communication: Strong leadership skills to motivate teams and effective communication skills for reporting and coordination.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with industry-specific machinery, safety regulations (EHS), and, for some roles, technical expertise.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve operational issues promptly.
Typical Reporting Line
- Reports to: Plant Manager, Production Manager, or Process Head.
- Direct Reports: Machine operators, production technicians, or floor staff.
