Liaison & Project Development Officer

About the Role
We're looking for a Liaison & Project Development Officer to engage with government departments — ministries, state forest/biodiversity departments, PSUs, and scheme-implementing agencies — and turn those relationships into strong project proposals and concept notes. Our work spans M&E consulting, CBBO/central sector scheme engagement, and biodiversity and forestry projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Visit and liaise with government departments/PSUs to build relationships and surface early information on upcoming schemes and tenders
- Draft concept notes, project proposals, and technical write-ups aligned to scheme guidelines
- Coordinate with technical experts to gather content for proposals
- Track relevant policy/scheme announcements and share intelligence with the BD team
- Maintain department contacts and follow up on submitted proposals
Requirements
- Bachelor's/Master's in environmental science, forestry, rural development, or a related field
- 3–6 years' experience in government liaison, business development, or project development (development consulting/M&E background preferred)
- Strong concept note/proposal writing skills in English; working Hindi preferred
- Willingness to travel extensively to state/district government offices
- Proficient in MS Office
Preferred: Prior exposure to central sector schemes, biodiversity, or forestry sector programs.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
