Position: Spur Grinder / Jewellery Grinding Operator

Job Responsibilities
- Perform grinding and removal of sprues/gates from cast jewellery pieces.
- Remove excess metal from jewellery after the casting process using grinding tools and equipment.
- Ensure sprue marks and excess metal are removed without damaging the jewellery design.
- Smooth and prepare jewellery surfaces for the next production process.
- Inspect pieces for casting defects, rough edges, excess metal, and uneven surfaces.
- Use grinding wheels, rotary tools, and other appropriate hand tools safely and accurately.
- Maintain the shape, dimensions, and fine details of jewellery during grinding.
- Coordinate with Casting, Filing, Filler, Polishing, and QC teams for further processing.
- Maintain production targets while ensuring quality and minimum metal wastage.
- Keep machines, tools, and the work area clean and organized.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of sprue cutting and grinding processes in jewellery manufacturing.
- Experience working with gold and diamond jewellery.
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to work on delicate and intricate jewellery pieces.
- Knowledge of grinding tools and equipment.
- Ability to identify casting-related defects.
- Good teamwork and ability to meet production targets.
Qualification
- 10th/12th pass or equivalent.
- Relevant jewellery manufacturing experience preferred.
Salary
₹20,000 – ₹22,000 per month, depending on experience and skills.
