About the Role
Velan Express Eats is looking for a passionate and experienced Café SOP Chef / R&D Chef to help us build a strong, standardized, and scalable café brand across all our outlets.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in café-style food preparation, recipe standardization, SOP creation, food costing, and kitchen process setup.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and standardize recipes with exact measurements
Prepare SOP documents for kitchen operations
Create consistent preparation methods across outlets
Design easy-to-follow kitchen systems and workflows
Handle recipe development and menu innovation
Monitor food quality, presentation, and taste consistency
Improve plating and overall customer food experience
Control food cost, wastage, and portion management
Train kitchen staff on SOPs and quality standards
Support café menu expansion and process improvement
Menu Expertise Required
Experience in preparing and standardizing:
Pizza
Burgers & Sandwiches
Fries & Café Fast Food
Desserts & Bakery Items
Mocktails & Beverages
Preferred Candidate Profile
Experience in Café / QSR / Continental kitchen operations
Knowledge of recipe costing and menu engineering
Experience in SOP creation and kitchen setup
Strong leadership and staff training skills
Ability to maintain consistency across multiple outlets
Experience in central kitchen or franchise systems is an added advantage
