Job Summary
The Collection Officer (Finance Receivables) plays a crucial role in managing the timely collection of student fees in a college where payment is made through monthly installments. The primary responsibility is to ensure the efficient and effective handling of financial receivables, minimizing outstanding balances, and maintaining positive relationships with students. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial systems, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with students and other stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Track and monitor student payment plans to ensure adherence to agreed-upon schedules.
- Identify and address any deviations or issues in the payment plans promptly.
- Communicate with students regarding upcoming payments, outstanding balances, and any payment-related queries.
- Collaborate with the admissions and student services teams to ensure accurate and up-to-date student information.
- Address payment discrepancies, payment failures, and other issues related to finance receivables.
- Coordinate with the IT department in case of any technical issues in the CRM.
- Work with students to find solutions to payment challenges, such as setting up alternative payment arrangements when necessary.
- Generate and maintain regular reports on receivables, outstanding balances, and payment trends.
- Provide insights and recommendations to the finance team for improving collection processes.
- Ensure compliance with college policies, financial regulations, and relevant laws governing fee collection and receivables.
- Collaborate with other departments, including admissions, academic affairs, and student services, to streamline processes and improve the overall student experience and collections
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field.
- Previous experience in finance, accounting, or a similar role, with a focus on receivables management.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
