Job Summary
The Hospital Receptionist is responsible for providing a welcoming and professional first point of contact for patients, attendants, visitors, and healthcare staff. The role involves managing the reception desk, patient registrations, appointments, telephone calls, enquiries, and administrative documentation while ensuring excellent patient service.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist patients, attendants, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
- Register new and existing patients and maintain accurate patient information.
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm doctor appointments.
- Handle incoming and outgoing telephone calls and direct calls to the appropriate department.
- Provide information regarding doctors, departments, consultation timings, hospital services, and procedures.
- Manage the reception desk and ensure smooth patient flow.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, billing, laboratory, pharmacy, and other hospital departments.
- Assist patients with registration, OPD procedures, billing enquiries, and other front-office requirements.
- Maintain patient records, forms, registers, and other administrative documents.
- Handle patient enquiries and complaints professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and follow hospital policies and procedures.
- Collect and communicate relevant information accurately to patients and hospital staff.
- Assist with insurance/TPA-related documentation when required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area.
- Perform other administrative duties assigned by the hospital management.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
