Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Project Manager – Civil to manage and execute construction projects from planning to completion. The candidate will be responsible for overall project execution, site management, manpower coordination, material planning, quality control, cost management and timely completion of the project as per approved drawings, specifications and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities1. Project Planning & Execution
- Plan, organize and supervise overall civil construction activities.
- Prepare project execution plans, work schedules and construction programs.
- Ensure project activities are completed within the approved time, cost and quality parameters.
- Monitor daily, weekly and monthly project progress.
- Identify delays and take corrective actions to maintain project schedules.
2. Site Management
- Overall responsibility for day-to-day site execution and construction activities.
- Supervise civil works including excavation, foundation, RCC, shuttering, reinforcement, masonry, plastering, flooring, waterproofing, finishing and external development works.
- Coordinate with Site Engineers, Supervisors, Contractors and Subcontractors.
- Ensure proper utilization of manpower, machinery and materials at site.
3. Drawing & Technical Coordination
- Review and understand architectural, structural and MEP drawings.
- Coordinate with consultants, architects and structural engineers for technical issues.
- Identify discrepancies between drawings and actual site conditions.
- Ensure construction is carried out as per approved drawings, specifications and BOQ.
4. Contractor & Subcontractor Management
- Coordinate and manage civil contractors and subcontractors.
- Allocate work and monitor their productivity and performance.
- Verify measurements and work quantities for contractor billing.
- Ensure contractors comply with project specifications, quality standards and safety requirements.
- Resolve day-to-day execution issues with contractors.
5. Material & Procurement Coordination
- Prepare material requirements based on project schedules.
- Coordinate with the procurement and store teams for timely material availability.
- Monitor material consumption and minimize wastage.
- Ensure materials received at site comply with approved specifications.
6. Quality Control
- Ensure construction work complies with approved drawings, specifications, BOQ and applicable standards.
- Coordinate with the QA/QC team for inspections and testing.
- Ensure proper quality of RCC, masonry, plaster, waterproofing, flooring and finishing works.
- Rectify defects and ensure timely closure of quality observations.
7. Cost & Billing Management
- Monitor project cost against the approved budget.
- Check quantities, measurements and contractor bills.
- Monitor material consumption, labour cost and equipment utilization.
- Identify cost overruns and implement cost-control measures.
- Coordinate with the commercial/accounts team regarding project billing and payments.
8. Client & Consultant Coordination
- Act as the primary coordination point between the company, client, consultant and site team.
- Attend project meetings and discuss progress, technical issues and requirements.
- Prepare and submit progress updates to management/client.
- Maintain professional relationships with clients and consultants.
- Handle site-level issues and ensure timely resolution.
9. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all construction activities are carried out in accordance with safety procedures.
- Coordinate with the safety team to maintain safe working conditions.
- Ensure proper PPE, housekeeping and safe working practices at site.
- Ensure compliance with applicable statutory and project requirements.
10. Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly progress reports.
- Maintain records of drawings, measurements, inspections, approvals and site instructions.
- Track project milestones and identify critical activities.
- Report project risks, delays, material shortages and other major issues to management.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of civil construction and project execution.
- Good understanding of RCC, structural, masonry and finishing works.
- Knowledge of BOQ, quantity estimation and measurements.
- Good knowledge of construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong manpower and contractor management skills.
- Good planning, coordination and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously.
- Good communication and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of MS Excel, AutoCAD and MS Project/Primavera will be preferred.
- Willingness to travel and work at project sites as required.
Preferred Experience
Candidates with experience in building construction, institutional projects, commercial buildings, residential projects, boundary wall/fencing works or large-scale civil construction projects will be preferred.

Pay: ₹522,067.26 - ₹943,233.42 per year
