Role Description
The CFD & FEA Engineer will perform advanced numerical simulations and engineering analyses related to fluid flow, heat transfer, structural integrity, and thermal performance across a wide range of projects, including buildings, industrial facilities, and Oil & Gas installations.
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Developing, setting up, validating, and executing CFD and FEA simulation models.
- Performing airflow, ventilation, smoke management, thermal comfort, HVAC, and energy efficiency analyses for building and infrastructure projects.
- Conducting CFD studies for Oil & Gas facilities, including process equipment, piping systems, pressure vessels, flare systems, cooling systems, and industrial ventilation.
- Performing structural and thermal FEA analyses for mechanical components, pressure vessels, piping supports, skids, equipment, and steel structures.
- Supporting pressure vessel and mechanical equipment design in accordance with applicable industry codes such as ASME Section VIII, API, and relevant international standards.
- Carrying out stress analysis, fatigue assessment, thermal stress evaluation, vibration analysis, and structural integrity assessments.
- Preparing technical reports, design recommendations, and engineering documentation for clients and project teams.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams to optimize designs and ensure compliance with international standards and regional regulations.
- Supporting proposal preparation by providing technical inputs, project planning, and engineering solutions.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of simulation methodologies, workflows, and engineering best practices.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- 3–5 years of professional experience in CFD and FEA analysis.
- Strong foundation in Thermal Analysis and Heat Transfer, including conduction, convection, and radiation.
- Solid understanding of Fluid Mechanics and Fluid Dynamics for HVAC, ventilation, smoke movement, industrial flow, and process applications.
- Knowledge of Aerodynamics, including wind engineering, pedestrian comfort, façade loading, and external flow analysis.
- Experience in Oil & Gas CFD applications, including process flow analysis, equipment cooling, pressure drop calculations, gas dispersion, ventilation studies, flare radiation, and multiphase flow analysis.
- Experience in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for static, dynamic, thermal, fatigue, buckling, vibration, and nonlinear structural analyses.
- Practical knowledge of pressure vessel design, piping systems, structural steel analysis, and mechanical equipment design.
- Familiarity with relevant design codes and standards such as ASME, API, etc
- Proficiency in industry-standard CFD and FEA software such as ANSYS Fluent, ANSYS Mechanical, CFX, STAR-CCM+, OpenFOAM, or equivalent, including pre-processing and post-processing tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, technical reporting, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Pay: ₹273,366.20 - ₹964,026.08 per year
