Project Role Description : Acts as an enabler for the effective functioning of a software development team using Agile methodologies. Coaches and mentors the Scrum Team(s), removing barriers to successful implementation and enabling a continued focus on the task at hand. Facilitates scrum and agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Identifies and reports progress via appropriate metrics.

Summary:
As a Scrum Master, your day revolves around fostering a collaborative and productive environment for the software development team by applying Agile principles. You guide the team through various Agile ceremonies, ensuring smooth communication and coordination among members. You actively work to identify and eliminate obstacles that may hinder progress, while continuously supporting the team s focus on delivering high-quality results. Monitoring and reporting on the team s progress through relevant metrics is a key part of your role, helping to maintain transparency and drive continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Expected to provide solutions to problems that apply across multiple teams.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to ensure effective team collaboration.
- Coach and mentor team members to enhance their Agile practices and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
- Monitor team progress and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and ensure alignment with project goals.
- Support junior team members by providing guidance and fostering an environment conducive to learning and growth.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Scrum.
- Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks and methodologies beyond Scrum to support diverse team needs.
- Excellent facilitation and communication skills to effectively manage team interactions and stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to identify and resolve impediments that affect team productivity and project delivery.
- Experience in tracking and reporting project metrics to provide transparency and support decision-making.
- Skilled in conflict resolution and fostering a collaborative team environment.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 12 years of experience in Scrum.
- This position is based at our Chennai office.
