Role description
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven ability to learn quickly, adapt to new tools, and work independently once trained.
- Hands-on experience with HiL test systems (dSPACE, ETAS, or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay).
- Proficiency in debugging electrical and electronic issues using oscilloscopes, power supplies, and multimeters.
- Experience with test automation tools such as VTestStudio, CAPL scripting, and ProveTech (preferred).
- Basic knowledge of Matlab/Simulink is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset ability to investigate and resolve issues without predefined solutions.
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Rapidly learn new testing tools, methodologies, and debugging techniques to become independent in executing HiL validation tasks.
- Own the regression testing process, ensuring smooth test execution and debugging failures with minimal supervision.
- Independently analyze and resolve HiL issues, including hardware, software, and automation challenges.
- Proactively investigate new issues, apply logical problem-solving skills, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions.
- Configure, execute, and analyze automated and manual regression tests for EV powertrain software validation.
- Debug and troubleshoot HiL test failures, using CANoe, CANalyzer, CANape, and other debugging tools.
- Work with test managers and integration engineers to improve test efficiency and automation coverage.
- Perform failure analysis, document findings, and track issues for resolution.
- Maintain and upgrade HiL test setups, including wiring, flashing software, and test automation scripting.
