Job Summary
NIARC is looking for a dedicated Pediatric Physiotherapist to work with children with physical and developmental disabilities. The role involves improving mobility, strength, posture, and functional independence through structured therapy programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess children with conditions such as Cerebral Palsy (CP), developmental delay, muscular disorders, genetic conditions, and neurological impairments
- Develop individualized physiotherapy treatment plans based on each child’s needs
- Conduct therapy sessions focusing on:
- Gross motor development (sitting, standing, walking)
- Balance and coordination
- Muscle strength and flexibility
- Postural control and alignment
- Use techniques such as:
- Neurodevelopmental Therapy (NDT)
- Stretching and strengthening exercises
- Gait training and mobility exercises
- Train children in the use of assistive devices (walkers, braces, etc.)
- Educate parents/caregivers on home exercise programs
- Monitor and document progress regularly
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (OT, Speech Therapist, Behavioral Therapist, Special Educator)
- Maintain patient records, assessments, and reports
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Physiotherapy (BPT/MPT)
- Experience in pediatric physiotherapy preferred
- Freshers with interest in pediatric rehabilitation can apply
