Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Plastic Engineer with expertise in HDPE, PET, and PP Blow Moulding processes for manufacturing plastic bottles and containers. The candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, troubleshooting, and optimizing blow moulding machines while ensuring product quality, minimizing rejection, and improving production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and optimize blow moulding machines for bottle and container production.
- Set machine parameters to achieve optimum cycle time and consistent product quality.
- Perform mould trials, machine setup, and process validation for new products.
- Troubleshoot issues related to bottle defects such as flash, short moulding, wall thickness variation, sink marks, leakage, and dimensional inaccuracies.
- Coordinate with the mould maintenance team to ensure proper mould condition and preventive maintenance.
- Monitor production output, machine efficiency, and material consumption.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and customer specifications.
- Reduce production rejection, wastage, and downtime through continuous process improvements.
- Optimize raw material utilization and support cost reduction initiatives.
- Maintain production records, machine logs, and process documentation.
- Ensure compliance with safety, 5S, GMP, and company SOPs.
- Coordinate with QA, Maintenance, Tool Room, and Production Planning teams to meet production schedules.
- Train machine operators and supervisors on machine operation and process control.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Extrusion Blow Moulding (EBM).
- Hands-on experience with HDPE, PP, PET, and other thermoplastic materials.
- Knowledge of bottle design, wall thickness distribution, shrinkage, and dimensional control.
- Expertise in process optimization and rejection reduction.
- Familiarity with hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems of blow moulding machines.
- Understanding of mould maintenance and tooling.
- Knowledge of quality standards, GMP, 5S, and Lean Manufacturing.
- Good analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and team management abilities.
Educational Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech in Plastic Engineering / Polymer Engineering
- OR Diploma in Plastic Technology / Plastic Engineering
Experience
- 5–10 years of experience in a Blow Moulding Bottle Manufacturing Company.
- Experience in manufacturing bottles for household cleaning, personal care, FMCG, food & beverage, or pharmaceutical industries will be preferred.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Strong technical knowledge of blow moulding operations.
- Hands-on experience in bottle manufacturing for FMCG or household hygiene products.
- Ability to work under production targets and pressure.
- Continuous improvement mindset with focus on quality, productivity, and cost optimization.
- Good leadership and cross-functional coordination skills.
Pay: ₹11,665.70 - ₹47,878.16 per month
