§ Perform professional nursing care to the patients admitted in the NICU.
§ Real time billing of all services provided to the patient
§ Real time booking consumption of all materials used
§ Collaborate with other functions/ teams in executing the given tasks
§ To support team members in meeting the organizations unified goal
§ Maintain skills and knowledge by participating in various nurse education programs, seminars, staff meeting, and workshops.
§ Updates own skills by attending certification and recertification courses e.g. medication recertification, I/V, ECG, BLS, PALS, NRP, ACLS, etc.
§ Successfully completes unit-based competencies and training modules
Pre and Post Anesthesia Care Unit:
· Aware of OR procedures, PACU routines, taking assignment
· Takes over of preoperative patients as needed.
· Provide pre op care in the holding area and monitor the patient
· Transfer the patient to OT along with other nurse
· Provides care to ventilated patients if required
· Assists anesthetist in intubation and extubation procedure.
· Able to monitor patients with invasive monitoring.
- Administer medicines and injections according to the time stated on their charts and ensure that all dietary requirements are followed by the patient.
· Ensures safe discharge of day care patients.
· Ensures that pre-op assessment is complete, which includes surgical checklist, nursing notes, and in case of any discrepancy informs area in-charge/assigned person.
Operating Room OR
· Familiar with knowledge of OR procedures, routine tasks, perform special assignments e.g. narcotic control etc.
· Ensure preparation of elective and emergency surgeries.
· Perform circulatory and Scrub role during surgical procedures
· Ensure environmental safety in compliance with OR guideline and infection control measures.
· Takes over of preoperative over of patients as needed.
· Ensures transfer out of patient as soon as they are sign out by anesthetist.
· Ensure the compliance to surgical safety checklist
· Complete OR competencies according to schedule.
· Ensure safety of surgical procedures according to hospital set standards, policies and guidelines.
§ Responsible for preparing the operation room prior to the operation and verify the necessary supplies and tools
§ Responsible for maintaining the OT equipment’s & sterilization area of the OT.
§ Timely identification and communication of any issues to ward manager.
§ Ensure the decontamination of instruments and equipment and properly dispose of contaminated materials.
§ Ensure proper documentation of OT patients and maintain their records.
§ Responsible for preparing gate passes for sending equipment’s & coordinate with security.
§ Assist the physician in treatments and surgical operations.
§ Be informed to surgeon on the arrival of the patient.
§ Responsible for instructing the patient in carrying out the physician's treatment
§ Furnishing correct information to the physician about patient condition based on the observation and recording documenting accurately.
§ Responsible for overseeing the consumable book entry pre-& post operation.
§ Complies with unit specific and hospital policies/procedures and protocols.
§ Smooth handover of the shift responsibilities, by briefing and updating.
§ Preparing rooms and decontaminating equipment’s and instruments.
§ Responsible for maintaining patient’s documents, reports, charts and duty books
§ Ensure compliance with prescribed standards of practice
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
