Job Title: Senior Accountant
Location: Hilite Business Park, Calicut, Kerala
Salary Package: ₹20,000 – ₹25,000 per month

About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting activities, statutory compliance, financial reporting, reconciliations, and MIS preparation. The candidate will work closely with the Finance HOD/Manager to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle day-to-day accounting transactions and maintain accurate financial records.
- Manage Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger activities.
- Perform regular bank, ledger, and account reconciliations.
- Verify invoices, payments, receipts, and accounting entries for accuracy.
- Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.
- Prepare MIS reports, financial statements, and other management reports.
- Monitor outstanding receivables and payables.
- Assist with cash flow monitoring and payment planning.
- Identify accounting discrepancies and assist in resolving them.
- Maintain proper accounting documentation and records.
- Coordinate with auditors, banks, consultants, and other external parties when required.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities.
- Follow and improve internal accounting procedures and controls.
- Provide required accounting information and reports to the Finance HOD/Manager.
Statutory Compliance Responsibilities
- Handle and ensure timely compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESI, and other applicable statutory requirements.
- Assist in GST and TDS return preparation and filing.
- Handle PF and ESI registration, employee enrolment, monthly contributions, challans, and returns.
- Ensure timely payment and filing of applicable statutory dues and returns.
- Maintain proper records and documentation related to GST, TDS, PF, ESI, and other statutory compliances.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of PF, ESI, and other applicable statutory processes within the organization.
- Coordinate with statutory consultants and authorities regarding compliance matters.
- Assist in handling statutory notices, discrepancies, and compliance-related issues.
- Ensure all statutory records are maintained properly for audit and inspection purposes.
Qualifications
Candidates must possess any one of the following qualifications:
- B.Com – Bachelor of Commerce
- M.Com – Master of Commerce
- MBA Finance
- ACCA
- CMA
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting and finance.
- Experience in handling day-to-day accounting operations independently.
- Good knowledge of:
- GST Compliance
- TDS and Income Tax
- PF & ESI Compliance
- Financial Accounting
- Bank Reconciliation
- Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Financial Reporting
- MIS Reporting
- Audit Coordination
- Experience in the Electronics Retail Industry will be an added advantage.
Technical Skills
- Working knowledge of Odoo ERP is preferred.
- Knowledge of Zoho Books and other Zoho applications will be an added advantage.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to prepare MIS and financial analysis reports.
- Experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
