Role Summary
The Corporate Accounting team’s responsibility is to ensure accurate accounting and reporting under Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and company policies. This position will support and manage various financial reporting, fund accounting and other accounting services carried out by the team in accordance with corporate policies and procedures.

- Business Unit personnel and management per the relevant accounting activity or query

- Support (HR, IT, Administration, Facilities)
Job Requirements
Education
At least B.Com graduate; M.Com, MBAs in Finance, inter ICWAs or inter CAs preferred
Relevant Experience
- 4+ years’ experience in financial accounting; real estate accounting, or property accounting a plus
- Hands-on General Ledger and Sub ledger Accounting experience
Technical Know-how/Tools used
To be updated once technical competency framework is finalized
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) is a plus
- Expertise in MS Office, Excel specifically is a must

Roles & Responsibilities
Play a supporting role in the production of quarterly and annual financial statements
- Assist the auditors and fund administrator through the quarterly financial statement preparation and annual audit
- Prepare bank account reconciliations
- Prepare monthly debt rolls and compliance reporting
- Assist with the quarterly and annual tax work
- Assist with ad hoc investor questions and periodic investor reporting
- Support the know-your-client “KYC” process for new business relationships
- Maintain and review internal general ledger data
- Participate in various projects to help strengthen internal controls and/or create efficiencies
Stakeholder Management
1. Provide pro-active updates and analyses to senior management
2. Support periodic and ad hoc information requests, analysis, or reports from management and other teams
3. Engage key stakeholders and internal customers to ensure expectations are clearly defined and are being met in accordance with organization requirements
Governance & Compliance
1. Develop, document, implement and manage accounting processes, controls and systems to ensure appropriate level of internal control
2. Support development and implementation of all accounting policies & procedures in compliance with company policy and applicable accounting standards
3. Support company growth and process improvement initiatives while maintaining a high standard of quality and effective internal controls
4. Establish proper records, approvals, documentation and audit trails for all transactions
