Job Title Description
This position is part of the Business Intelligence Center of Excellence (COE), a worldwide team that uses technical skills to help Eli Lilly meet its financial goals. We provide support for global Planning, Forecasting, and Reporting (PFR) across entire company. That includes all affiliates, hubs, regions, and corporate consolidations. Eli Lilly operates systems including ERP (SAP S/4 HANA), planning and reporting platforms as cloud-based solutions. Manager – BI Reporting and Analytics position is aimed at designing, developing advanced analytical reporting and visualization as well as supporting planning and forecasting processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand the foundational data views and structure in S/4 HANA and other sources such as BW4 to recommend financial data analytics outcomes.
- Develop and implement reporting and analytics to utilize data coming from SAP S/4 HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and other platforms such as Data Lake.
- Convert the results from analytics into practical business insights that can help with process of decision-making to achieve business goals.
- Identify key metrics and leading indicators for business performance and collaborate with the partnering teams to create reports and dashboards.
- Cooperate with IT and technology vendors to build and maintain robust, advanced analytical models to support information analysis, automated forecasting, planning, scenario modelling, and statistical trend analysis.
- Assist end users with ad-hoc analytical requests. Helping to analyze their data for trends and patterns and recommending other steps based on the findings.
- Partnering with business to identify complex issues, simplifying and automating processes.
- Creating and maintaining management reports, dashboards and other visualizations using business intelligence tools such as Power BI, BusinessObjects, Power Query, SAP Analysis for Office.
- Understanding architecture of current solutions including data extractions processes, flows and transformations between systems and their key components such as S/4 HANA, SAC, and Data Lake.
- Communication with business to gather feedback and new requirements. Providing them with operational support and training.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, information systems, or equivalent work experience. MBA is advantageous.
- Understanding of financial modelling and planning, forecasting, and reporting processes.
- Advanced analytical skills to enable decision making with deep business insights.
- Strong understanding of data engineering techniques and modelling; popular data analysis tools and databases.
- Experience in working with complex databases, data extraction and data mining. Coding in VBA, Java, Python, R, DAX, SQL or equivalents is advantageous.
- Experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI, BusinessObjects, SAP Analysis Office, Power Query.
- Experience in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and SAP S/4 HANA.
Additional Skills/Preferences
- Superior written and verbal communication, interpersonal abilities, and skills in prioritizing tasks.
- Attention to detail.
- Project management skills.
- Basic knowledge of AI tools such as Claude and Microsoft Copilot, with the ability to leverage them for data analysis, reporting, and productivity enhancement.

- Position is located at Lilly Capability Center (LCCI), Bengaluru.
- Work outside of core hours will be required during high volume periods.
- Travel 0-10%.
