The role
We are seeking an experienced SAP Logistics Lead to support and drive SAP S/4HANA transformation, implementation, enhancement, and support initiatives across Manufacturing, Quality Management, Plant Maintenance, Procurement, Inventory Management, and Warehouse Operations.
The successful candidate will provide functional leadership across SAP Logistics processes, working closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, system integrators, and third-party partners to deliver scalable and efficient SAP solutions. The role requires strong hands-on expertise in SAP PP, QM, PM, MM, and integration with Finance, Sales, and Supply Chain functions.
Key Responsibilities
SAP Functional Leadership

Act as the functional lead for SAP Logistics processes across multiple business units and manufacturing locations.

Own solution design and process governance for Logistics, Manufacturing, Quality, and Maintenance processes.

Lead workshops, requirements gathering sessions, fit-gap analysis, and solution design activities.
-
Provide guidance and mentoring to functional analysts and business process owners.
-
Ensure adherence to SAP best practices and standardisation across sites.
Manufacturing & Production Planning (PP)

Configure and support SAP Production Planning processes including:
-
Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
-
Production Orders
-
Capacity Planning
-
Shop Floor Control
-
Demand Management
-
Master Data Governance
-
Support manufacturing process optimisation initiatives.

Drive continuous improvement of planning and scheduling processes.
Quality Management (QM)
-
Lead SAP QM process design and support including:

Inspection Planning
-
Goods Receipt Inspections
-
In-Process Inspections
-
Quality Notifications
-
Certificates of Analysis
-
Vendor Quality Management
-
Support compliance, audit, and regulatory requirements.

Work closely with quality teams to improve quality reporting and controls.
Plant Maintenance (PM)

Lead SAP PM solutions covering:

Preventive Maintenance
-
Corrective Maintenance

Maintenance Planning
-
Work Orders
-
Equipment Management
-
Functional Locations
-
Maintenance Notifications

Support maintenance reliability and asset management initiatives.

Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to optimise maintenance processes.
Materials Management & Logistics

Support procurement and inventory management processes including:

Purchasing

Inventory Management

Goods Movements

Physical Inventory

Vendor Management
-
Service Procurement
-
Work closely with warehouse and supply chain teams to improve operational efficiency.

Support integration with warehouse management solutions where applicable.
Project Delivery

Lead SAP project workstreams including:

SAP ECC to S/4HANA migrations

Greenfield and Brownfield implementations
-
Rollouts and acquisitions
-
Continuous improvement initiatives

Manage functional deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.

Support testing activities including SIT, UAT, and hypercare.

Review and approve functional specifications and design documentation.
Stakeholder Management
-
Build strong relationships with business process owners and senior leadership.
-
Translate business requirements into practical SAP solutions.

Facilitate workshops and steering committee discussions.
-
Provide regular status updates and risk management reporting.
What we need to see from you

10+ years SAP functional consulting experience.

Strong hands-on configuration experience within:

Experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations or conversions.

Strong understanding of end-to-end manufacturing and supply chain processes.
Technical Knowledge

Experience with SAP Fiori applications.

Third-party planning solutions

Ability to review and validate functional and technical specifications.
Leadership Experience

Experience leading global or multi-site SAP projects.

Experience mentoring and developing junior consultants and analysts.

Strong workshop facilitation and presentation skills.
Desirable Experience

SAP S/4HANA Public or Private Cloud experience.
