Sewage Treatment Plant Maintenance Supervisor
Nirmaan Engineering is looking for a skilled Sewage Treatment Plant Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team of operators/technicians and manage day-to-day operation and maintenance (O&M) of the Sewage Treatment Plant (STP). You will oversee routine plant operations, preventive and breakdown maintenance of equipment, and ensure the treated water quality meets required standards. Your primary goal is to ensure smooth, uninterrupted plant operation while maintaining strict safety and quality standards, as per directions of the Engineer-in-Charge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily operation of the Sewage Treatment Plant (aeration tanks, clarifiers, filters, sludge handling units, etc.)
- Plan and carry out preventive maintenance of pumps, blowers, aerators, motors, and other electro-mechanical equipment
- Attend to breakdowns promptly and coordinate repairs with technicians/vendors
- Monitor plant parameters (MLSS, DO, pH, flow rates, etc.) and maintain daily logs/reports
- Ensure proper dosing of chemicals and consumables as per process requirement
- Coordinate sludge handling, disposal, and housekeeping of the plant premises
- Ensure treated water quality complies with pollution control norms
- Maintain records of maintenance schedules, spare parts inventory, and equipment history
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols during operation and maintenance activities
- Coordinate with vendors/suppliers for spares, consumables, and AMC services
- Report plant performance and issues to the Engineer-in-Charge
Requirements:
- Prior experience in Sewage Treatment Plant operation and maintenance preferred
- Basic understanding of electro-mechanical equipment (pumps, blowers, motors)
- Familiarity with wastewater treatment processes (SBR/MBBR/Extended Aeration/etc.)
- Ability to read equipment manuals and basic troubleshooting
- Good team management and coordination skills
Experience:
- Supervising: 1 year (Preferred)
- Sewage Treatment Plant Operation & Maintenance: Preferred
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
