Lead Mechanical Product Design Engineer
Key Skill Sets
-
Strong mechanical design fundamentals including plastics, sheet metal, castings, and assemblies.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling, engineering drawings, GD&T, and tolerance analysis.
- Experience in product development from concept, design, validation, to production launch.
- Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
- Ability to select materials and manufacturing processes based on performance, cost, and reliability requirements.
- Experience with engineering validation, testing, failure analysis, and problem-solving methodologies.
- Understanding of quality tools such as DFMEA, risk assessment, and change management processes.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration with manufacturing, quality, suppliers, and customers.
- Project leadership skills including planning, technical decision-making, and mentoring team members.
- Effective communication and presentation skills for technical reviews, customer interactions, and management reporting.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduate / Postgraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 5 + years of experience in mechanical product design
- Good Knowledge of 3D drawings and concept development Using CATIA tools
- Sound Knowledge of GD&T and stack up analysis calculation
- Good communication skills and experience in interacting with global customers
- Good Knowledge of motor child parts manufacturing processes
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
