Context and Purpose of the Job
RioMed is a leading clinical software company based in the UK. Our core business function is developing and delivering clinical applications. We provide customised solutions to meet the specific requirements of healthcare professionals. Our mission is to improve healthcare at the point of delivery through patient participation and real time data capture. RioMed has been delivering clinical solutions nationally and internationally since 1997, in a variety of communicable and non-communicable disease areas including, HIV, sexually transmitted disease, Osteoporosis, Elderly Care, Rheumatology, Cardiology and Diabetes.
The overall purpose of the role is to design and develop scalable, high-performance web applications using React. We are seeking a skilled React Developer with over two years’ hands-on experience in building robust front-end solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical fundamentals, experience working within structured development environments, and familiarity with modern tools within the React ecosystem. Exposure to team coordination or leadership responsibilities would be advantageous.

Develop and maintain scalable React applications using best practices.

Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code with strong focus on performance and quality.

Work closely with API, BA, QA, and UI teams for seamless integration.

Perform thorough unit testing and ensure minimal production defects.

Participate in meaningful code reviews and follow established code review checklists.

Handle debugging, bug fixing, and optimization tasks.

Ensure adherence to project architecture, folder structure, and coding standards.

Maintain proper documentation and update tasks regularly (Azure/Jira).

Proactively identify blockers and escalate when required.

Strong proficiency in React.js (Hooks, Functional Components, Lifecycle methods)

Solid understanding of JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript

Experience with Redux / Redux Toolkit

Familiarity with React Query

Experience using Formik for form management

Hands-on experience with Material UI (MUI)

Experience in handling API integration (REST APIs)

Strong understanding of state management and re-render optimization

Experience with performance optimization techniques
-
Knowledge of Git version control
-
Familiarity with SonarQube and resolving code quality issues

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environment
