About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented New Product Development (NPD) Engineer to join our team in Gurgaon. The ideal candidate will support the complete product development lifecycle—from concept and design to prototyping, testing, and commercialization. Preferred Candidate Profile
We are seeking professionals with experience in:
- Mechanical, Production, or New Product Development environments.
- Product design, CAD drafting, prototyping, and testing.
- Vendor coordination and cross-functional project execution.
- Supporting product development while balancing quality, cost, and delivery objectives.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Design & Development
- Assist in the design and development of new products using CAD software.
- Prepare Bills of Materials (BOM), engineering drawings, and technical documentation.
- Participate in prototype development, product trials, and validation activities.
- Support the transition of product concepts into commercial production.
Project Coordination
- Collaborate with Production, Tool Room, Quality, and Purchase teams to ensure smooth execution of NPD projects.
- Coordinate with vendors for sample development, tooling, and product improvements.
- Assist in sourcing new raw materials, components, and spare parts.
Testing & Quality Assurance
- Conduct and support testing of new products for performance, functionality, and durability.
- Document trial results and recommend design or process improvements.
- Ensure products comply with customer requirements and company quality standards.
Costing & Feasibility
- Support cost estimation for new product development projects.
- Identify design and material alternatives for cost optimization without compromising quality.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Research new materials, manufacturing technologies, and industry trends.
- Benchmark competitor products and recommend innovative product improvements.
- Contribute ideas for enhancing product performance, manufacturability, and cost efficiency.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong technical knowledge of Mechanical and Production Engineering principles.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar design tools.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and contribute to innovation.
Qualifications
- B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical, Production, or Polymer Engineering.
- 1–4 years of relevant experience in New Product Development, Product Design, or Manufacturing Engineering.
Compensation
CTC: ₹4.5 – ₹6 LPA (Based on experience and skills)
