Role SummaryWe are looking for a techno-functional Business Analyst who brings an all-round profile: genuine technical fluency in Gen AI and Agentic AI, built through close involvement in delivery, combined with real prior experience working as a Business Analyst — requirements gathering, scoping, and stakeholder management. This is not a traditional BA position: the candidate must bring enough technical depth to sit with business stakeholders at the very start of an initiative and help make the call on where a use case belongs - classic RPA/Python automation, Gen AI-augmented automation, or a fully agentic AI solution while also carrying the requirements-gathering and delivery discipline expected of an experienced BA. Hands-on development skills are not required; what matters is solid technical understanding earned through delivery involvement, paired with genuine BA experience.
What This Role InvolvesLead discovery workshops with business stakeholders to surface automation, Gen AI, and agentic AI opportunities across processes
Own use-case evaluation and technology routing at the front end of the pipeline — determining, with real technical grounding, whether an opportunity belongs in the RPA/Python automation bucket, the Gen AI + Automation bucket, or the Agentic AI bucket
Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications (BRDs/FRDs/PDDs) tailored to the chosen technology path — including data/prompt requirements for Gen AI use cases and tool, orchestration, and autonomy requirements for agentic use cases
Partner closely with RPA developers, Gen AI/prompt engineers, and agentic AI developers to validate technical feasibility, effort, and design before committing timelines to the business
Draw on strong technical understanding and prior delivery experience to challenge technical assumptions, spot scope creep early, and de-risk delivery before it starts
Support QA/UAT with genuine technical fluency — particularly for Gen AI and agentic outputs, where validation goes beyond simple pass/fail scripting
Build and maintain a consistent intake framework, scorecards, and templates so use-case triage is objective and repeatable across the wider team
Communicate technology-fit recommendations and trade-offs to business and senior stakeholders in plain business language
Track and report benefits realized across all three technology buckets, working with delivery teams to ensure the numbers hold up to scrutiny
Coach and mentor other BAs on how to evaluate and frame use cases across the automation-to-agentic spectrum
The CandidateThe successful candidate brings an all-round profile — genuine technical fluency in Gen AI and Agentic AI gained through close involvement in delivery (as a technical lead, solution architect, embedded BA on a technical build, or similar), combined with real, demonstrable experience working as a Business Analyst. They combine strong stakeholder management, a structured approach to problem-solving, and the communication skills to translate fluently between engineering and business audiences.
ExperienceTechnical fluency: strong technical understanding of Gen AI and Agentic AI implementations, gained through close involvement in delivery — as a technical lead, solution architect, or embedded BA on a technical build — not just conceptual exposure or vendor briefings
BA experience: demonstrated experience working as a Business Analyst — requirements gathering, scoping, and stakeholder management — ideally on automation, Gen AI, or agentic AI initiatives
Proof points: demonstrable exposure to at least one Gen AI-enabled automation solution and one agentic AI solution or pilot
Solid grounding in traditional RPA and Python automation delivery (Automation Anywhere, UiPath, Power Automate, or Python/VBA-based automation) sufficient to recognize when classic automation is the right and sufficient answer
Track record of translating ambiguous business problems into structured technical requirements across multiple technology paradigms
Experience partnering with both business stakeholders and engineering/data science teams as a two-way translator
Prior program/project delivery experience in a global organization; consulting or transformation background is a plus, but secondary to genuine technical fluency in Gen AI/agentic AI and demonstrated BA experience
Strong analytical and financial acumen to build the business case for a chosen technology path
Change / Leadership SkillsInfluencing and teamwork: ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal; works effectively at all levels of an organization; a strong team player
Delivery discipline: knows how to structure, staff, and manage workstreams to ensure clarity of expectation, timely execution, and successful outcomes
Analytical skills: a structured approach to problem-solving with a natural inclination for planning strategy and tactics; drives to the root cause rather than the symptom
Character: perseverant and resourceful, flexible and adaptable in ambiguous situations, resilient with a forward-looking, holistic approach
Technical SkillsIdentify opportunities for standardization, improvement, automation, Gen AI augmentation, or agentic redesign of processes
Own, contribute to, and deliver project tasks/activities required to achieve project outcomes on the ground
Work with stakeholders to build understanding and support for the recommended technology path
Collaborate across divisions, senior leaders, and support functions — often across geographies — to maximize benefit realization
Automation, Gen AI, and agentic SDLC implementation experience across the full lifecycle
Gen AI fluency: working understanding of LLM capabilities and limitations, prompt engineering fundamentals, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG); ability to assess data readiness (structured vs. unstructured) and prompt/context feasibility for a use case; understanding of hallucination risk and output-validation strategies; familiarity with major platforms and APIs (Open AI, Anthropic Claude, Microsoft Copilot, Azure Open AI)
Agentic AI fluency: understanding of agent architectures — single-agent vs. multi-agent, planner-executor patterns, tool/function calling, memory and state management; ability to judge when a use case needs autonomous, multi-step reasoning and tool orchestration versus a simpler Gen AI + automation combination; awareness of the guardrails agentic solutions need (human-in-the-loop checkpoints, escalation paths, audit trails); conceptual familiarity with agent frameworks/platforms (e.g., Lang Chain, Lang Graph, AWS Bedrock Agent Core) is a strong plus
Contribute to building a central capability for evaluating and delivering across all three technology buckets at scale and quality
Behavioral CompetenciesThink Big: thinks strategically, simplifies the complex, solves complex problems, sees the big picture
Drive Change: thrives on change, learning agility, intellectually curious, appetite for risk, digital drive
Helps Others: builds relationships, actively collaborates, helps others succeed
Get It Done: acts decisively, drives results, takes ownership, accountable, resilient
Business First: focuses on customers and clients, strong business/financial acumen, JLL first
Inspire: inspires others, creates vision and strategy, energizes
