Medical Writer Intern
Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Medical Writer who can bridge the gap between science and storytelling. The role requires deep understanding of medical terminology, data, research and along with the ability to convert complex clinical information into clear, compelling, and creative communication for healthcare professionals and patients. The candidate will also lead a team of writers and collaborate with strategy, creative, and client servicing teams to deliver high quality communication for pharma brands.
Skills & Qualifications
- Degree in Medicine / Pharmacy / Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Related field (MD / MPharm / PharmD preferred).
- 5-8 years of experience in medical writing, healthcare communication, or pharma advertising.
- Strong ability to interpret clinical trials and scientific publications.
- Proven experience in transforming medical data into creative communication.
- Experience in leading or mentoring writing teams.
- Excellent writing, storytelling, and presentation skills.
Key Responsibilities
Medical & Scientific Content
- Research, Interpret and analyze clinical data, scientific literature, and medical guidelines.
- Translate complex medical information into clear, accurate, and impactful communication & concepts.
- Develop scientifically robust content for pharma marketing materials such as visual aids, leave-behinds, patient education materials, websites, and digital campaigns.
- Ensure medical accuracy, regulatory compliance, and reference validation across all deliverables.
Creative Communication
- Convert scientific data into engaging concepts, narratives, and brand stories.
- Work closely with creative teams to develop concept driven campaigns rooted in strong medical insights.
- Craft HCP and patient focused communication that simplifies science while retaining accuracy.
Client & Strategy Collaboration
- Understand client briefs, brand strategy, and therapeutic area insights.
- Participate in brainstorming, pitch presentations, and strategic discussions.
- Provide medical perspective to creative and strategy teams to strengthen communication.
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor a team of medical writers/junior writers.
- Review and refine content to maintain high standards of scientific accuracy and communication quality.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure all materials follow pharma regulatory guidelines and referencing standards.
- Maintain documentation of references and claims used in communication.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
