o Review controls-related designs, electrical schematics, and layouts with design consultants, project teams, and PC&IS/Operations teams.
o Map electrical and control system designs (e.g., cable routes, panel locations) onto the actual facility floor and implement necessary site layout changes, aligning these with PC&IS, Operations, and site teams.
o Provide design improvement ideas for control systems and electrical installations to enhance reliability, safety, and efficiency.
o Support detailed design reviews to ensure proposed solutions meet P&G technical standards, including CBA 2050, CBA 2052, and Global Electrical Specifications.
o Prepare Bills of Material (BOM) for electrical cabling routes (for new machines and modifications), and for electrical-related construction work.
o Prepare Electrical Schematic/General Arrangement (GA) drawings for Main Power & Control Panels, HMI Panels, Junction Boxes, and Operator Control Stations as required for projects.
- Directly manage the technical scope of controls equipment throughout the complete design, manufacture, debugging, implementation, and commissioning phases of projects.
- Ensure project execution for electrical installations (e.g., cable laying, cable tray laying, conduit runs, panel installations, instrumentation wiring) adheres to approved designs, specified cable routes, and P&G standards.
- Work with site resources to execute projects with PC&IS scope effectively.
- Ensure detailed electrical installations comply with relevant safety standards and P&G Global Electrical Specifications.
- Get validation done at the time of Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ), and Performance Qualification (PQ) for PC&IS systems.
- Capable of creating IQ/OQ/PQ protocols for PC&IS systems, particularly focusing on control system functionality and electrical safety.
- Directly provide troubleshooting for electrical, instrumentation, and machine controls issues at the site.
- Suggest technical improvements in equipment's working in collaboration with Operations and Engineering teams.
- In-depth knowledge of P&G PackML PLC and HMI programming and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in PLC programming for various platforms (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Rockwell, Siemens).
- Thorough knowledge of P&G standards: CBA 2050, CBA 2052, Global Electrical Specifications.
- Functional Safety expertise: Possessing a TÜV SÜD Certificate - Functional Safety Engineer - Machinery Sector.
- Strong understanding of electrical power distribution, motor control, and instrumentation principles relevant to automated machinery and process control.
