Job Title: Product Owner – Data & Customer Experience
Role Overview
We are looking for a customer-obsessed Product Owner who is passionate about delivering positive outcomes for users. In this role, you will contribute to a suite of products used by hundreds of millions of travelers each month, helping shape the future of travel experiences.
You will operate at the intersection of data, technology, and customer experience, translating complex problems and business requirements into clear, actionable steps that drive product development and customer value.
As a Product Owner, you will take ownership of your product from ideation to growth, working closely with Product Managers, Engineering, and Data teams to deliver scalable, data-driven solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Roadmap Execution
- Execute the prioritized product roadmap in alignment with business goals
- Validate and stress-test requirements before translating them into development-ready tasks
- Collaborate with engineering and data teams to ensure feasibility and clarity
Product Ownership
- Own and manage the product backlog across data platforms, pipelines, and customer-facing features
- Drive product development from requirements through launch and continuous improvement
- Make prioritization decisions across:
- New features
- Technical debt
- Data quality improvements
- Maintenance and bug fixes
Product Delivery
- Define and enforce a clear Definition of Done for all deliverables
- Ensure high standards of data quality, performance, and reliability
- Partner with Product Managers to align on:
- Product quality
- Market readiness
- Cost efficiency
- Customer value delivery
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with:
- Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and Analysts
- Engineering and Architecture teams
- Marketing, Sales, Partnerships, and Customer Success
- Collaborate with external vendors and partners for successful product delivery and adoption
- Act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical data teams
Data Product & Analytics Responsibilities
- Translate business needs into data-driven user stories and acceptance criteria
- Contribute to development of:
- Data pipelines (ETL/ELT)
- Data platforms and warehouses
- Dashboards and reporting solutions
- Define and track:
- Product KPIs
- Data quality metrics
- Customer experience metrics
- Support data use cases such as analytics, personalization, and machine learning
Industry & Competitive Knowledge
- Stay informed about travel industry trends, customer expectations, and competitor offerings
- Identify opportunities to enhance product capabilities and customer experience
Communication
- Clearly articulate product problems, priorities, and solutions
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and leadership stakeholders
- Provide regular updates on product progress, risks, and outcomes
Ownership & Leadership
- Act as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for your product
- Take accountability for product success and continuous improvement
Jira & Agile Management
- Own and manage Jira boards, workflows, and backlog across:
- Application teams
- Data teams
- Infrastructure teams
- Lead Agile ceremonies:
- Sprint planning
- Backlog grooming
- Reviews and retrospectives
- Collaborate with Engineering and Project Managers for sprint execution
Required Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of experience as a Product Owner / Product Manager
- Strong experience working with data platforms or analytics products
- Solid understanding of:
- Data pipelines (ETL/ELT)
- Data warehousing (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, etc.)
- SQL and data modeling concepts
- Experience working with:
- BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
- Cross-functional Agile teams
- Ability to convert complex requirements into clear user stories
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
