Role Overview:
Faculty member will be responsible for delivering high-quality education in Medical Laboratory Technology/Allied Health Sciences/Life Sciences, conducting research, and actively participating in the academic community. The ideal candidate should be passionate about teaching, committed to research and dedicated to student development and welfare.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Teaching & Instruction
-
Develop and deliver engaging, comprehensive lectures and interactive classroom activities for undergraduate and postgraduate MLT related courses.

Create and maintain up-to-date course materials, including syllabi, reading lists, assignments, and exams.

Utilize various teaching methodologies to accommodate diverse learning styles and promote active learning.
2. Student Assessment & Feedback
-
Design and administer assessments to evaluate student understanding and proficiency.
-
Grade student assignments and exams in a timely manner, providing constructive feedback to aid their academic progress.

Monitor and support students' academic performance, offering guidance and interventions as needed.
3. Research & Scholarly Activity
-
Conduct original research in MLT, with a focus on publishing findings in peer-reviewed journals and presenting at conferences.

Supervise and mentor student research projects, theses, or dissertations.

Collaborate with colleagues on research initiatives and contribute to the department’s research output.
4. Student Mentorship & Counselling
-
Provide academic advising and career counselling to students, helping them navigate their academic journey and career options.

Support student well-being through counselling services and referral to appropriate resources as needed.

Facilitate workshops and events to promote mental health and personal development.
5. Curriculum Development & Innovation
-
Participate in curriculum design and development, ensuring courses are relevant, comprehensive,and aligned with current trends in Medical Laboratory Technology or Allied Health.

Integrate technology and innovative teaching techniques into course delivery.

Collaborate with faculty to develop interdisciplinary programs and enhance the overall curriculum.
6. Administrative & Departmental Duties

Engage in departmental activities, including faculty meetings, curriculum review, and academic committees.

Contribute to the department’s accreditation and quality assurance processes.

Assist in organizing events, seminars, and workshops to promote the field of Medical Laboratory Technology or Allied Health Science Field.
7. Community Engagement & Outreach

Develop programs and partnerships that extend psychological services or awareness into the community.

Participate in outreach activities, such as workshops on mental health, guest lectures, or public seminars.
8. Professional Development & Qualifications
-
Maintain professional and academic qualifications in accordance with institutional standards.

Pursue ongoing professional development through additional certifications, training, or advanced studies.

Stay informed of advancements in MLT/Allied Health Science and incorporate new knowledge into teaching and research.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

Education: M.Sc. MLT/M.Sc. in Life Science/Allied Health Science or Ph.D. in related field from UGC recognized University.

Experience: Prior teaching experience at the university level and a strong record of research and publications.

Excellent teaching and communication skills.

Ability to conduct and publish high-quality research.
