Summary of Role:
We are seeking a Sr. Staff Engineer with experience in I/O and interface designs and good understanding of design flow, methodologies
Essential Responsibilities:
Work on I/O and interface design for automotive and industrial CPU/IP/Custom SOC products. Work closely with the interface design lead in developing optimized IO solutions. Good understanding of various interface communication protocols such as GPIO, I2C/I3C, DDR, CAN, Ethernet, LVDS, MIPI, USB, PCIe etc.
Interface Design exposure with understanding of overall system level interface requirements covering performance, timing, timing budgeting, signal integrity and power requirements. Good working knowledge of ESD, Reliability and sign-off flows for IO design. Ability to run simulations and design verification flows independently.
Cross-collaboration working closely with different disciplines such as SoC Design, Board/System level design, and customers. Good and working understanding of IO integration requirements for SoC design covering physical, logical and test considerations. Ability to independently address first level of technical queries and support any simulations and debug activities. Act as first level of support for any customer issues
Participate in roadmap, innovation activities. Participate in planning and working closely with the IO/Interface leadership to provide necessary inputs and share best practices, lessons learnt. Drive culture of strong automation and be responsible for high-quality deliverables
Validation and Characterization skills on post-silicon. Work closely with the team on supporting any validation and characterization activities. Document any initialization, bring-up procedures, validation reports and ability to present to executive leadership and management
Other Responsibilities:
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field .
Deep understanding of interface standards and design covering both high-speed and low-speed, low-power designs. Experience in ESD, high voltage design and proven record of meeting power, performance and area requirements.
Working knowledge and understanding of industry-standard EDA tools for design and simulation such as Cadence, Synopsys, Keysight, Ansys etc.
