NKM Tech Wiring Harness is looking for an experienced QC Head to lead the Quality Department in an automotive wiring harness manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in IATF 16949, customer quality requirements, line quality management, documentation, audits, supplier quality, and continuous improvement. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring zero-defect manufacturing and maintaining compliance with automotive quality standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Management
- Lead and manage the complete Quality Assurance & Quality Control function.
- Establish and maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS) as per IATF 16949.
- Ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements and automotive standards.
- Develop quality objectives, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Drive a Zero Defect culture across the organization.
Production & Line Quality
- Monitor incoming, in-process, and final inspections.
- Ensure adherence to Control Plans, Work Instructions, and Quality Standards.
- Minimize customer complaints, rejection, rework, and PPM levels.
- Lead containment actions and corrective actions for quality issues.
- Coordinate closely with Production, Engineering, and Maintenance teams.
Documentation & Compliance
- Manage PPAP, APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow, MSA, SPC, and 8D documentation.
- Ensure complete documentation as per IATF 16949 requirements.
- Maintain document control and revision management.
- Ensure traceability and calibration systems are maintained.
Audits
- Lead Internal, Customer, and Certification Audits.
- Handle customer visits and quality assessments.
- Ensure timely closure of audit findings and corrective actions.
Team Leadership
- Lead, train, and mentor QC Engineers, Inspectors, and Quality Executives.
- Develop skill matrices and training plans.
- Build a high-performance quality team.
Continuous Improvement
- Lead Root Cause Analysis using 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, Pareto, and other quality tools.
- Drive Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma initiatives.
- Improve First Pass Yield (FPY) and Overall Quality Performance.
Required Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Automobile, or related Engineering.
- 2+ years of experience in Automotive or Wiring Harness Manufacturing.
- Minimum 3 years in a Quality Leadership/Managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and Automotive Core Tools.
- Experience handling OEM and Tier-1 customer requirements.
