Job Purpose
To generate new business and drive revenue by identifying prospects, meeting architects, interior designers, builders, and end customers, and converting leads into sales for the group's furniture, interiors, and building-material brands.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new client relationships with architects, interior designers, contractors, builders, and retail customers.
- Conduct regular field visits, cold calls, and site meetings to generate and convert leads.
- Present product catalogues, samples, and pricing; explain features and benefits of the relevant product range.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets set by management.
- Maintain a healthy pipeline and update daily call/visit reports /lead trackers.
- Coordinate with the showroom for client walk-ins, quotations, and order follow-ups.
- Negotiate pricing and terms within approved guidelines, and close sales.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with the partner network (architects, PMCs, contractors).
- Track competitor activity, pricing, and market trends and share feedback with management.
- Ensure timely collection of payments and resolve client queries or complaints.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Any Bachelor's degree; specialisation in marketing/business is an advantage.
- 2–4 years of experience in field sales, preferably in furniture, interiors, building materials, or related B2B/B2C sales.
- Own two-wheeler/vehicle for field travel preferred.
- Fluency in Tamil and English; comfortable with local travel across Chennai.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong persuasion, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Target-driven with a proactive, self-motivated approach.
- Good relationship-building and networking ability.
- Confident communicator and presenter.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel/CRM tools for reporting.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
