Core Responsibilities
1. Academic Instruction & Pedagogy
- Deliver engaging, student-centric lectures across undergraduate (B.A. LL.B. / B.B.A. LL.B.) and postgraduate (LL.M. / Ph.D.) degree streams.
- Employ modern teaching methodologies including the Socratic method, clinical legal techniques, case studies, and digital Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Design, update, and modernize course curricula, syllabi, and assessment schemes aligned with Bar Council of India (BCI) mandates and evolving legal trends.
- Conduct practical legal training, direct moot court preparations, legal aid camps, and client counseling simulations.
2. High-Impact Research & Innovation
- Maintain an active research profile with consistent publication output in Scopus (Q1/Q2 preferred) and UGC-CARE listed law journals.
- Formulate and submit research proposals to secure extramural research grants and consultancy projects from government bodies (e.g., ICSSR, DST, Ministry of Law & Justice) and private entities.
- Guide and supervise Ph.D. scholars and LL.M. dissertation projects.
- Pursue Intellectual Property (IP) generation, patent filings, or legal policy whitepapers to support institutional research metrics.
3. Mentorship & Student Development
- Serve as an academic counselor, helping law students navigate academic requirements, bar exam preparations, clerkships, and internship placements.
- Coach and mentor moot court teams, research paper writing cohorts, and legal aid cell student coordinators.
- Provide active guidance to junior faculty members regarding research methodologies, paper writing, and classroom management.
4. Administrative Leadership & Institutional Service
- Participate in departmental and university-level administrative committees (Curriculum Development, NAAC/NIRF Coordination, Disciplinary Committee, Research Advisory Board).
- Organize and lead national/international legal conferences, seminars, moot court competitions, and guest lectures.
- Contribute toward university accreditation workflows, internal quality assurance benchmarks (IQAC), and external academic audits.
Desirable Skills & Competencies
- Domain Expertise: Advanced mastery in core legal disciplines (e.g., Constitutional Law, Corporate Law, Criminal Law, Cyber Law, IP Law, or International Law).
- Research Leadership: Strong citation index and demonstrated ability to mentor research teams and write external funding proposals.
- EdTech Proficiency: Familiarity with online educational platforms, modern legal databases (SCC Online, Westlaw, Manupatra, LexisNexis), and LMS administration.
- Communication & Public Speaking: Superior articulate written and verbal skills for academic, judicial, and public policy forums.
