Job Title: Junior Accountant / Accounts Executive
Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant / Accounts Executive to join our finance team at our frozen food manufacturing facility. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for freshers or candidates with 1–2 years of experience looking to build a strong career in manufacturing and FMCG corporate accounting.
You will work closely with senior management to handle daily accounting tasks, track factory inventory, and maintain accurate financial records. We provide on-the-job training, so a strong willingness to learn and a positive attitude are key.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily Data Entry: Record daily financial transactions, including supplier invoices, factory expenses, and customer receipts into our accounting software.
- Inventory Tracking Assistance: Assist in updating records for raw materials (ingredients, packaging) and finished frozen goods. Help with routine physical stock verification in the factory.
- Billing & Invoicing: Generate and dispatch accurate invoices to our distributors, retail partners, and supermarkets.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Follow up on outstanding payments from clients and prepare basic payment schedules for our vendors.
- Banking Operations: Assist with daily banking tasks, checking bank statements, and preparing bank reconciliation statements (BRS).
- Documentation & Filing: Maintain systematic physical and digital files for all vouchers, tax documents, and financial records for easy audit retrieval.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (B.Com / BBA-Finance). Fresh graduates are highly encouraged to apply.
- Experience: 0 to 2 years of experience in general accounting.
- Basic Software Skills: Fundamental knowledge of Tally or similar accounting software, along with a solid comfort level using MS Excel (data entry, basic formulas).
- Core Concepts: Clear understanding of basic accounting principles (debits/credits, golden rules of accounting, and basic GST concepts).
- Traits: High level of accuracy, strong numbers sense, and a desire to learn food manufacturing cost accounting.
