Job Description – Central Store Manager (Restaurant Industry)
Position Title: Central Store Manager
Department: Supply Chain / Stores
Reports To: Operations Manager / General Manager
Job Summary
The Central Store Manager is responsible for overseeing the complete inventory and store operations of the restaurant group, ensuring timely procurement, storage, issuance, and control of food, beverage, packaging, cleaning supplies, and operational materials. The role focuses on maintaining optimum stock levels, minimizing wastage, ensuring inventory accuracy, and supporting smooth restaurant operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesInventory Management
- Manage daily receiving, storage, and issuance of all materials and supplies.
- Monitor stock levels and ensure availability of critical items.
- Conduct periodic stock counts and inventory audits.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in ERP/POS systems.
- Track slow-moving, non-moving, and expired inventory.
- Ensure proper FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expiry First Out) practices.
Procurement & Vendor Coordination
- Coordinate with procurement teams for timely replenishment of stocks.
- Raise purchase requisitions based on consumption trends and par stock levels.
- Liaise with vendors regarding deliveries, shortages, and quality concerns.
- Verify purchase orders, delivery challans, and invoices.
Store Operations
- Ensure proper storage conditions for dry, chilled, and frozen items.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards within the store.
- Supervise loading, unloading, and material handling activities.
- Implement loss prevention measures and reduce pilferage.
Cost Control & Reporting
- Monitor inventory variance and investigate discrepancies.
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports.
- Analyze consumption patterns and recommend cost-saving initiatives.
- Support finance teams during audits and stock reconciliations.
Team Management
- Supervise Store Assistants, Store Keepers, and Loaders.
- Train staff on inventory procedures and food safety standards.
- Allocate duties and monitor team performance.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and SOPs.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and company standards.
- Maintain records required for internal and external audits.
- Follow workplace health and safety guidelines.
- Ensure proper documentation of all inventory transactions.

Qualification
- Graduate in Commerce, Hotel Management, Supply Chain, or related field.
- Certification in Materials Management or Inventory Control preferred.
Experience
- 5–8 years of experience in Stores & Inventory Management.
- Minimum 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial role within the restaurant, hospitality, QSR, or food service industry.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
