**Job Summary:**
The Procurement Manager is responsible for overseeing the procurement of medical supplies, equipment, pharmaceuticals, and other hospital materials. The role involves developing procurement strategies, managing vendor relationships, ensuring cost-effective purchasing, and maintaining inventory levels to support hospital operations efficiently and compliantly.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Develop and implement procurement policies and procedures aligned with hospital standards and regulations.
- Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers and vendors for medical and non-medical supplies.
- Negotiate prices, contracts, and terms with suppliers to secure the best value for the hospital.
- Prepare purchase orders and ensure timely procurement of goods and services.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with departments to forecast needs.
- Ensure the quality and safety standards of purchased items, especially medical supplies and pharmaceuticals.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and supplier performance.
- Coordinate with hospital departments to understand their procurement needs and priorities.
- Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and new products.
- Manage supplier relationships and resolve issues related to delivery, quality, or pricing.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards.
- Oversee procurement team and provide guidance and training as needed.
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or related field.
- Proven experience in procurement, preferably in a healthcare or hospital setting.
- Knowledge of medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, and healthcare regulations.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Familiarity with procurement software and inventory management systems.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
